2021 WDC Holiday Cocktail Party
December 29, 2021
We virtually rang in the new year WDC Holiday Cocktail Party on the evening of December 29, a couple of days early! We had another fun, interactive party to share inspirations and accomplishments in break out conversation rooms and to continue our tradition of featuring inspiring women entrepreneurs and artisans.
We were joined byDetroit entrepreneur and retail curator, Roslyn Karamoko, who hosted us at her beautiful store, rotating art gallery and community space in 2018, Détroit Is The New Black (DITNB). Roslyn is the founder and CEO of DITNB and is expanding her innovative work nationally as VP of Strategic Development at Neighborhood Goods. Like DITNB, Neighborhood Goods is fostering a new culture around shopping and community, featuring the most thoughtful, modern, and exciting brands they can find and building community along the way. Roslyn shared her DITNB story, “Buy Good Buy Black” initiative and her DITNB partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Michigan to provide youth education and business opportunities in retail merchandising, brand building and curation.
